This Privacy Policy explains what information Sahi Awaaz collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. By using Sahi Awaaz, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account details: name, email address, mobile number, and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password — it's hashed using bcrypt and cannot be reversed, even by us).
• Text you submit: the text, translations, and voice notes you provide for audio generation, translation, or transcription.
• Usage data: your character-credit balance, purchase history, and which plan you bought.
• Payment information: we do not store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves — payments are processed directly by Razorpay, our payment partner.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account, and let you log in.
• To process the text, translations, or voice notes you submit and return the generated audio, translated text, or transcript.
• To process payments and add credits to your account.
• To check submitted text against our content policy before generating audio (see Section 4).
• To send you password-reset emails when you request one.

3. Third Parties We Share Data With

To provide the service, the text/audio you submit is sent to the following processors, only for the purpose of generating your requested output:

• Sarvam AI — processes your text or audio to generate speech, translations, or transcripts.
• OpenAI — screens submitted text for content that violates our Acceptable Use policy (hate speech, threats, sexual content, etc.).
• Razorpay — processes your payments; we never see or store your full payment details.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

4. Content Moderation

Text you submit is automatically checked for prohibited content (illegal, hateful, sexual, or threatening language) before audio is generated. This check happens via automated filters and the OpenAI Moderation API. See our Terms & Conditions for details on what content is not allowed.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Purchase and Terms-acceptance records are kept for legal and accounting purposes even after credits are used or expire. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us (see Section 9).

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you logged in (a security token) and to remember your language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

7. Data Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We use secure (HTTPS) connections for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers.

8. Children's Privacy

Sahi Awaaz is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us through the support details on our website. Note that deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of unused credits (see our Refund Policy in the Terms & Conditions).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Sahi Awaaz after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
